They often face overlapping prejudice based on their origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, language, or migration status.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Rainbow Buddies<\/strong> program, implemented by <strong>Foundation Ukraine<\/strong> as part of the <a href=\"https:\/\/fundacjaukraina.eu\/en\/project\/nclusion-fostering-inclusion-of-lgbtqi-migrants-at-local-level\/\"><strong>@nclusion<\/strong> | <strong>Fostering Inclusion of LGBTQI+ Migrants at Local Level<\/strong><\/a> project, was created in response to these challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In cooperation with partner organisations from six European countries \u2013 Poland, Germany, Spain, Greece, Italy, and Cyprus \u2013 we create a safe space for support, development, and integration by connecting LGBTQI+ people with migration experience with members of the host society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Programme objectives<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>Rainbow Buddies<\/strong> program aims to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>strengthen the independence and agency of people with migration experience;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>build relationships based on solidarity and trust;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>counteract social exclusion;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>create more open and integrated local communities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What is the program about?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Rainbow Buddies<\/strong> is a <strong>six-month mentoring program<\/strong> based on one-to-one pairs or small mentoring groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As part of the program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>each pair\/group meets at least once a month (in person or in a hybrid format);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>activities are co-created by mentors, mentees, and a supervisor from Fundacja Ukraina;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>participants receive substantive, organisational and \u2013 if needed \u2013 psychological support;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the program is flexible and tailored to the real needs of mentees.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Forms of support may include:<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>assistance in navigating administrative and public systems;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support in accessing healthcare and social services;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>learning and practising Polish in everyday situations;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>discovering Wroc\u0142aw and its cultural and social offer;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>building local networks and relationships;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>developing life and professional skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Who is it for?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mentors<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We invite people living in Wroc\u0142aw who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>want to actively support the integration of people with migration experience;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>are open to diversity and equality-based values;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>want to share their knowledge and experience;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>are ready for regular meetings and a six-month commitment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Foundation Ukraine provides mentors with:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>training to prepare for the mentoring role;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ongoing supervision and support;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a space for exchanging experiences;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>educational materials and practical tools.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Mentees<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is addressed to LGBTQI+ people with migration experience who:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>have been living in Wroc\u0142aw from several months to several years;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>need support in adaptation and integration;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>want to better explore the city, the language, and local opportunities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>are looking for a safe relationship based on trust and understanding;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Participants receive:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>access to the full range of the Foundation\u2019s services;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>support in the integration process;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>a certificate confirming cooperation with the organisation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is open for everyone
