Key Project Activities:<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The main goal of the “FAMI \u2013 Stage II” project, implemented by Foundation Ukraine, is to support activities at the Lower Silesian Voivodeship level concerning the reception and integration of Ukrainian citizens and other third-country nationals who entered Poland due to armed conflicts in their countries and other third-country nationals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The integration of third-country nationals into Polish society in the project is also understood as the process of legalizing residence and employment in Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project’s implementation will enable the Lower Silesian Voivodeship Office and Foundation Ukraine to undertake effective actions in response to the migration crisis caused by the war in Ukraine. These actions aim to contribute to effective management of residence legalization processes as the basis for integration, as well as to strengthen and develop a common immigration policy while fully respecting the rights and principles enshrined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stationary information points in Wroc\u0142aw<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project’s activities include free services aimed at foreigners \u2013 third-country nationals \u2013 residing\/staying in Lower Silesia. The project plans to provide administrative and legal advice in Wroc\u0142aw at the Information Point of the Institute of Migrant Rights and at the Refugee Support Center at the Wroc\u0142aw Main Railway Station (PKP Dworzec G\u0142\u00f3wny).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Within the project it is also planned to organize administrative and legal advice points in the city of Wa\u0142brzych. Administrative and integration advice will be provided at the Wa\u0142brzych Information Point, including information on migration law, residence legalization procedures (including correctly filling out applications), health insurance, and issues related to renting accommodation.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Polish language courses for adults<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project plans to conduct 12 Polish language courses, organized for Ukrainian- or Russian-speaking groups, to be held in-person in Wroc\u0142aw. This will provide approximately 160 individuals with the opportunity to develop their language skills, adaptation, and integration with the receiving society, thereby increasing their chances of finding employment in Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Polish language courses, organized by Foundation Ukraine, correspond to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and cover levels of knowledge ranging from A0 to C2. The classes will be conducted by qualified instructors with experience in teaching Polish as a foreign language.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Language clubs<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project includes funding for the implementation of conversational meetings of English and Polish language clubs. The English Speaking Club “Argy-Bargy” and the Polish Speaking Club are modern language clubs implemented by the Ukraine Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the club meetings, small discussion groups (about 5-8 people) will be formed and led by moderators who will prepare topics and materials based on the group’s needs and current events. Meetings will take place twice a week for about 2 hours each, totaling approximately 100 meetings or 200 hours of learning per year.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Support for intercultural education in schools<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To support the integration process of students of nationalities other than Polish into the school community, the assistance of intercultural assistants in the form of office hours in schools will be provided. The role of the assistant will include activating foreign children and their parents, encouraging them to participate in co-creating school life, sensitizing Polish students, their parents, and teachers to the issues of multiculturalism, combating prejudices and national, ethnic, and religious stereotypes, and promoting the idea of mutual tolerance and respect.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\nFullscreen Mode<\/a>
