Project goal:
The goal of the project is to give young people from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to express their voice and perspective as Generation Z on social issues. Participants will have the chance to create a film inspired by Krzysztof Kieślowski’s documentary Talking Heads, using film workshops that will allow them to develop technical, creative, and interpersonal skills. The project aims to raise awareness of the social and cultural challenges facing Generation Z, as well as build a space for dialogue between young people and the local community.

Target group:
The project will invite 60 participants aged 16-25 to take part in four editions of film workshops. The group will be diverse in terms of background, ensuring a broad representation of Generation Z. Participants will have the opportunity to develop their film skills, work with professionals, and collaborate with other young creators.
Main activities within the project:
- Film workshops
Participants will be divided into four groups and will take part in two-month film workshops, which will take place in four stages: June-July, July-August, August-September, and September-October. The workshops will include learning how to work with cameras, film editing, and developing soft skills such as creativity, interpersonal communication, and work organization. - Creating the film “Talking Heads of Generation Z”
During the workshops, participants will answer questions on camera, inspired by Kieślowski’s classic, such as: “Who are you?”, “What would you like?”, “What is most important to you?”. The answers will be edited into one film that will present Generation Z’s perspective on important social issues. - Film review and premieres
After the workshops, an open premiere film screening will take place, where the films created by the participants will be shown. Young creators, their families, friends, educators, and the local community will be invited to the event. The premiere will take place at Czasoprzestrzeń, in the Łącznik. - Post-premiere screenings
The project includes the organization of six additional film screenings (in the month following the premiere) with interviews and other short works created by workshop participants. The screenings will be organized by the participants, allowing them to gain experience in organizing film events.
Expected project outcomes:
- Improving the competencies of young people in film arts, communication, and teamwork.
- Creating a space for expressing Generation Z’s voice on social and cultural topics.
- Increasing integration of youth from diverse backgrounds through joint creative work.
- Promoting films created by young creators and their participation in local cultural events.
- Building a sustainable network of collaboration among young filmmakers from different backgrounds.
