On April 7th, Foundation Ukraine organized a special charity event that brought together the Wrocław community to help those affected by Russian aggression in Ukraine. With the financial support of Deviniti Sp. z o.o. company, a food packing event for the needy was organized as part of the “HELP UA PACKAGE” project.
Get to know the “HELP UA PACKAGE” project
The “HELP UA PACKAGE” project has been run by Foundation Ukraine since July 2022 and aims to support the elderly, disabled, and families with children from regions of Ukraine most affected by war by delivering food parcels to them. Since the project started, we have managed to send approximately 10,500 food sets to the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Donetsk region, and cities hosting internally displaced persons.

700 food parcels for Ukraine. How did it go?
Nearly 100 volunteers, including children and elderly people, participated in the action, creating specific moments and showing how much can be achieved by acting together. During the event, volunteers joined forces to collect a total of 700 food kits for internally displaced persons in Alexandria city and those evacuated from the region of Sumy.
The event was not only an opportunity to help those in need, but also to promote social engagement, building conscious community and solidarity. By participating in team-building games, competitions and quizzes about volunteering conducted by our employees, event participants learned more about the history, social importance and spread of volunteering culture around the world.
The packing action took place in the courtyard of 46 Ruska Street, where volunteers packed food sets from 12:00 to 17:00. The friendly atmosphere, hot tea, and sandwiches created good conditions for work, and instant photos and souvenirs from Foundation Ukraine enhanced the time spent helping others.

Thanks to the commitment and support of all participants, the “Packing 700 food kits for Ukraine” event has become a huge success, contributing to increasing the amount of aid and demonstrating the power of solidarity and volunteer culture, which are the foundation of our joint activities.
