#SAVEUKRAINE RAPORT

We are changing with society. Discover the current challenges and directions of the Foundation Ukraine’s activities in the second quarter of 2024 (01.04.2024-30.06.2024)!

The second quarter of the year brought us many new challenges and successes. Thanks to our collective efforts, we were able to help even more people. Check out what we managed to do during this period!

Through our project activities, we provided knowledge to nearly 2000 individuals who participated in over 70 events!

104 people received comprehensive support in the area of residence and work legalization by attending training and courses on legalization.

Over 960 people participated in 37 meetings of the Polish Speaking Club and English Speaking Club, integrating and getting to know each other.

200 participants acquired new knowledge and skills by taking part in 28 educational and integrative-adaptive events (Cashflow workshops, ProMova club meetings, quizzes, and board games).

During the second quarter of this year, we managed to provide informational support on legalization and adaptation to 5667 people. Our specialists conducted over 5783 consultations, including:

  • 2326 general in-person consultations,
  • 335 specialized in-person consultations,
  • 3122  remote consultations.

In our efforts to support children and adults with refugee experiences, we:

Provided temporary accommodation for 104 refugees in Lower Silesia in locations such as Wrocław, Lądek-Zdrój, Kudowa-Zdrój, and Karpacz.

Organized  360  hours of Polish language classes for 108 refugees at risk of social exclusion through 7 new Polish language courses.

We also conducted 19 group meetings in temporary accommodation centers, attended by 236 people and conducted 219 individual consultations.

Issued 200 “Everyday Shopping” cards for Biedronka stores to refugees in need of assistance, meeting the criteria set by the Biedronka Foundation.

Conducted training for the staff of the Provincial Office in Zielona Góra on the legalization of residence and employment of foreigners.

As part of the HELP UA PACKAGE project, we collected and sent 704 food parcels to areas most affected by the Russian aggression. The parcels were distributed in the following regions: Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, Izium,  Antonivka and Kherson. We also engaged in advocacy efforts, representing the Foundation at 40 meetings on local, national and international level.

While we can proudly highlight successes in many areas of our activity, we must also acknowledge the challenges we face.

Our SAVE UKRAINE charity campaign is encountering difficulties in raising funds, slowing the process of purchasing and shipping humanitarian aid. Ukraine still needs our support due to the ongoing war. Please, let’s not remain indifferent and continue our mission of assistance together!

We must not give up or become accustomed to war! Remember, even the smallest good deed, a single donation, or sharing information can significantly impact the lives of those in need!
