Foundation Ukraine has become a partner of the conference “Made in Wrocław”__

Foundation Ukraine always supports significant initiatives. Recently, we have taken part in the event “Gajowice without borders”, festival “Our common independent” organized by DUW.

This time, we will support the conference important for citizens of Wroclaw and the whole Lower Silesia region “Made in Wrocław” which will be held on October 17 in the congress center named “Centennial Hall”. 

The conference “Made in Wrocław” is a unique event, during which citizens of Lower Silesia will get to know about new inventions, modern technologies, and stories about local successful startups. Every year, this event hosts founders of successful startups in Wroclaw who share their business strategies and ideas for startup development in the whole region. 

A fair for all of the participants

Made in Wrocław is not only the conference for the business owners. The event will also hold a fair where citizens of Wroclaw will be able to see new innovative technologies and products created in Wroclaw, talk to founders of Wrocław startups, observe how a modern city can be developed thanks to the zone Smart City, etc. This year, the fair “Made in Wrocław” will host such participants as Selena, 3M, BSH, Mondelez, WABCO, Whirlpool, and many other Wrocław startups. What is more, the company Festo is going to introduce its Formula 1 driving simulator. 

An event you cannot skip

During the conference, guests will get the unique opportunity to take part in lectures led by Henry Mcgovern, founder of AmRest Holdings. Since 1993 the company owns more than 2100 power brands such as KFC, PizzaHut, Burger King and Starbucks in 26 countries. Henry Mcgovern will share his story of the company’s success and how the startups’ value has risen from $100 mln to $3 billion.  

Moreover, you will hear the stories of women who successfully run international companies in Wrocław. Among them are Katarzyna Turkiewicz, CEO of HPE Global Business Center, Aldona Janeczko from Ringier Axel Springer Polska, and Katarzyna Byczkowska, the first woman who became Managing Director of BASF Polska.
