The Foundation Ukraine was established on 23rd April 2013 at the initiative of the Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Wroclaw, Grzegorz Dzik, in order to support the process of adaptation, integration, personal and professional development of the migrants. At the beginning of its activity, The Organisation was supporting mainly people of Ukrainian origin, however, in 2016, we began to act also for other foreigners.
Foundation Ukraine implemented its first project in 2014, and since then we have put more than 58 ideas into practice. And this is just the beginning!
In April 2016, as part of the support of cost initiatives from the city of Wroclaw, the space on Ruska Street 46A was made available for us. Thanks to the financing of the Honorary Consul of Ukraine, the center was renovated and on 18th November 2016 the official opening took place.
Pretty fast, CUKR became a cultural center of Wroclaw and appealed to the citizens. Special film screenings, poetry and music evenings were held there. Currently, CUKR is the headquarter of Foundation Ukraine, where most of the events take place and an information point for migrants operates. In addition, the space fulfills office functions. Every day, employees of Foundation come up with new ideas under its roof!
