SUMMARY OF FOUNDATION UKRAINE’S ACTIVITY FOR THE FIRST QUARTER OF 2025
Three Months of Support and Solidarity: Summary of the Foundation Ukraine’s Activities (01.01.2025 – 31.03.2025)
The first quarter of 2025 is behind us — and we’re proud of all we’ve accomplished in just three short months. Nearly 10,000 people in Lower Silesia received support thanks to our efforts!
We’re currently running 9 active projects, with more initiatives launching soon. Each of them is designed to strengthen our ability to support the integration and independence of migrants across the region.

Legal and informational support
Between January and March 2025, we provided legal and adaptation-related information to over 5,100 people!
- Our specialists conducted over 1,960 in-person consultations in Wrocław, Wałbrzych, and Jelenia Góra, including around 300 legal, career, and business-related advisory sessions.
- Another 3,100 migrants received support remotely — via phone, email, and online consultations offered by our legalization team.
Project-based activities
Thanks to our project-based work, 1,160 people received direct assistance and educational support:
- 830 students and parents with migration experience in 27 schools across Lower Silesia were supported by intercultural assistants, helping them with integration and adaptation.
- Over 120 refugees received comprehensive guidance on starting and running a business in Poland through the Economic Support Program for Ukrainian Refugees in Lower Silesia.
- 76 students joined our intercultural sssistants’ Culture & Sports Days, bringing youth together across backgrounds.
- 47 Foundation staff members, including intercultural assistants, took part in the “Safe Identification and Referral of Child Abuse Cases” training.
- 62 individuals began Polish language courses under the Centres for Integration of Foreigners in Lower Silesia project.

Community initiatives outside of projects
Beyond our structured projects, we also carried out a wide range of independent initiatives — reaching over 2,820 people:
- 1,420 participants joined 55 language club meetups (Polish, English, and Spanish Speaking Clubs), learning languages and building connections.
- Over 1,400 people gained new skills and knowledge through 63 educational and social-adaptive events, including Cashflow Club meetings, board games, and quiz nights.
Advocacy & public engagement
In the first three months of 2025, we actively engaged in 18 events to advocate for migrants’ rights and shape integration policies. We joined conferences, panels, and stakeholder meetings focused on strengthening support systems for refugees and migrant communities.
Here are some highlights:
- January 7 – We joined the Migration & Culturally Diverse Society Working Group to address ongoing challenges in migrant integration in Poland.
- January 17 – We co-organized Kutia Wrocławska, an annual event celebrating cultural diversity and unity in Wrocław.
- January 24 – Took part in the Regional Refugee Response Plan Meeting, hosted by UNHCR and NGO Forum Razem, to improve living conditions for refugees.
- February 5 – Attended a session of the Wrocław Council for Equal Treatment, discussing the removal of legal and social barriers for migrants.
- March 3–4 – Participated in the European Local Government Congress, where we contributed to a panel on local integration programs and moderated a discussion on the impact of migration on communities.
- March 12 – Attended the Labour Market Observatory Conference to share insights on refugee and migrant employment in Lower Silesia.
- March 18 – Met with school principals and local authorities, including Wrocław’s Vice Mayor and the Director of the Education Department, to discuss education for refugee and migrant children.
- March 25 – Participated in the Skills Alliance Plenary Meeting, presenting our vocational support initiatives for migrants.
- March 27 – Joined the Stakeholder Council at the Regional Education Office to discuss educational quality for children with migration backgrounds.

Humanitarian aid & charity drives
We remained actively involved in humanitarian work, focusing on supporting those affected by the war in Ukraine.
🔹 February–March 2025 – We organized a charity fundraiser in collaboration with Polish theaters to mark the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion. Events held in theaters and opera houses across Łódź, Poznań, Wrocław, and Gdańsk helped us raise PLN 6,310 for victims of the conflict.
Funds were donated to WY.MOWA, an organization rebuilding Ukrainian educational centers and assisting families who lost their homes.
🔹 March 2025 – We supported local organizations helping refugees in Poland by donating:
- IT equipment and office furniture worth PLN 13,628.50
- Recipients included the “Polanka” Social-Cultural Association and the “Sfera Jedności” Foundation.
Despite funding challenges, our SAVE UKRAINE fundraiser is ongoing — because Ukraine still needs us. We invite everyone to join this effort. Every small act of solidarity makes a real difference.
