Dancing together__

On November 3rd, we have had a great opportunity to organize a dance flash-mob “Dance with us”, which is included in the project “Get Involved in Multiculturalism” co-financed by the European Union. The project is created for the young migrants aged 14-25 who live in Wroclaw. 

The previous August flash-mob gathered many dance lovers. Moreover, people from different countries got a great opportunity to find some new friends.  

In November, our dance event hosted two times more people than the previous one – more than 50 people! Collectively, we were encouraging citizens of Wroclaw to join the dance flash-mob and integrate with us. During the event, there was a delightful and friendly atmosphere, where organizers were also dancing with others. 

Flash-mob was organized within the framework of the project “Get Involved in Multiculturalism”, by which such goals will be reached:

• integration of migrants with Polish society;
• keeping the dialogue between different social groups;
• implementing modern learning methods for youngsters, (methods of digital storytelling among others);
• involving migrants into the social life of Wroclaw;
• creating a public database of informational materials;
• capturing social organizations’ and governs’ attention to the problem of migrants’ integration.

The target audience is young people. That is why the events in this project take into account the interests and needs of the new generation of youngsters. The examples of such events are:

• Seminars of film making and directing;
• meetings of English Speaking club;
• dance flash-mobs “Dance with us”.
