The free learning of the English language in Wrocław at Foundation Ukraine__

Foundation Ukraine invites migrants that live in Lower Silesia to develop their speaking skills during the weekly free meetings of the English Speaking Club “ABC: Argy-Bargy” Speaking Club in CUKR. Why it is worth it and how to join the club you can read in this article. 

Knowledge of the English language is highly necessary in the modern world, especially for migrants. That is why Foundation Ukraine has decided to support foreigners with the process of learning and practicing English. In the framework of the project reSTART, every week in CUKR there are held integration meetings of ABC: Argy-Bargy Speaking Club on different topics.

What is the English Speaking Club?

Meeting of the English Speaking Club is, first of all, the unique possibility to practice speaking skills in a friendly international environment. ABC: Argy-Bargy Club is a speaking club for active people of different ages and nationalities. 

We support intercultural mutual understanding with the help of free integration meetings and learning of English. Our English speaking club invites foreigners with different levels of speaking skills and experience. For participation in meetings, you do not have to register previously. Just come at the time when it begins. 

Meeting schedule of English speaking Club ABC: Argy-Bargy

Meetings of the club are held twice a week on Mondays at 7 pm and Wednesdays at 7:30 pm at CUKR – Centrum Ukraińskie Kultury i Rozwoju on 46A/201 Ruska Street in Wrocław. 

Monday lessons are held in the form of discussions about a particular topic. Participants are divided into groups of 3-4 persons, so that it will be comfortable for everyone. We talk about cooking, hobbies, traveling, and other topics that we choose together with the participants. We watch movies together, play games, and even cook. Meetings are led by native speakers who are moderators of ABC: Argy-Bargy Club. 

Wednesday meetings are devoted to practical learning of Latin dance. We learn basic dance moves and thematic vocabulary. Participants of the meeting are divided into pairs. Don’t worry, you don’t have to have a partner with you already. We divide pairs during the meeting so that everyone can get someone, even if he or she came alone. 

Lessons are led in English by the native speaking moderator.
