Programme of support for information centres__

Implementation period: 01.08.2024 - 30.11.2024

Project Objective:

The “Information Centers Support Program” was developed in response to the identified needs of organizations supporting refugees in small towns. The primary goal of the project is to enhance the quality of services provided to refugees by information centers through improving the knowledge and skills of the organizations operating these centers. The project targets at least four non-governmental organizations (NGOs) operating in five cities: Wałbrzych, Jelenia Góra, Gorzów Wielkopolski, Zielona Góra, and Opole. These organizations focus on supporting refugees, particularly women from Ukraine, as well as other groups, including people with disabilities.

Main Activities within the Project Include:

  • Increasing the competencies of teams managing information centers in small towns, which will lead to better support for refugees and improved service quality offered by local information centers.
  • Networking

Organizing educational and networking meetings that will allow NGOs from different cities to establish cooperation and share knowledge.

A particularly notable event will be the meeting we have scheduled for September 9th in Wrocław. Foundation Ukraine will invite representatives from non-governmental organizations from various cities to join workshops and discussions on the challenges and best practices in refugee support. The goal of this meeting is to build a stronger network of cooperation among organizations and to share experiences, which will contribute to a better understanding of the needs of individuals with migration and refugee experiences.

  • Educational and Integrative Support

Implementing a comprehensive plan that includes working visits to organizations, online/telephone consultations, evaluation visits, and preparing monitoring reports. The goal is to provide continuous support to organizations, monitor progress, and identify areas that require further attention.

  • Monitoring and Mentoring

Introducing a three-month mentoring and monitoring plan to help organizations apply the knowledge gained in practice and develop forward-looking recommendations for future actions.

Expected Project Outcomes

The project aims to increase the competencies of teams working in information centers and enhance collaboration and experience-sharing among organizations. Additionally, the project will contribute to improving the standards of assistance provided to refugees, as well as strengthening regional integration and cooperation among organizations involved in refugee support activities.
